Do Shin Ken Yu Kai - means "the friendly association for improving the spirit and character through using the sword".

 The founding branch of the club is based in Brighouse and there are a number of other DSKYK clubs throughout Yorkshire, Lancashire and then there is us in the Greater Manchester area

 We are very interested in introducing people to the ancient Japanese art of Kendo. We explore the practice and theory behind the practice in regular training sessions.

We also have a number of keen scholars who would gladly talk your ears off (only kidding) about Japanese history and Sword history.

We are also very keen to show people how Kendo is also modern sport, where you can get fit and have fun in a safe and friendly environment.

We want people to understand and hopefully join in with our passion for the practice , the ettiquette and the history of Kendo.
